A city full of magic! Couples dancing salsa, children playing football in the streets, teenagers who do not look at their smartphone because they dont have internet, art on every street
corner, and then the impressive
architecture and the vintage cars everywhere. I‘m still speechless and to be honest the best thing to do in Havana, is to spend the days in the streets. If one city deserves all your attention on the streets, it’s definitely Havana!

LA GUARIDA
For visitors to Havana, La Guarida has become a must experience! The building shows its former splendor from the magnificent wooden front door over the marble staircase up the two flights of stairs to the restaurant. Unfortunately, you have to book very early to eat in the restaurant, so I just looked around the building and took pictures.
This place is the dream of every photographer.

OLDTIMER TOUR
Havana offers you to book a tour with a vintage car. This costs about 30 cuc for 1 hour.
Make sure to book a tour to feel the original vibe of havana! The driver will show you a few of the classic sights of Havana, but after all it’s more about the feeling of riding one of those vintage cars.

VIÑALES
On our last day we decided to leave Havana for a day trip to Viñales, the area of tobacco fields and the famous hills called mogotes. There are day tours in buses from Havana to Vinales, 70 cuc per person.
The first stop was in a factory where tobacco was produced. There we were allowed to watch the employees at work and got an impression of their work environment. Second Stop was at Dos Hermanas Valley with time to take pictures at the Prehistoric mural and to drink some fresh made Pina Colada.
Third stop was at a Tobacco Farm. It was interesting to see the tobacco leaves & how the leaves were rolled into cigars.
Fourth stop was at Cueva del Indio (Cave), a short walk inside the cave. Then a boat ride from inside to the exterior of the cave.Final Stop was the Vinales Valley Overlook.
In between we had a lunch break which was includes in the Price. It’s a must do when visiting Cuba and really worth the expensive trip!

PINA COLADA
If you are in Havana, then you must definitely drink a pina colada! The fresh ingredients make this drink so unique!
I was very surprised when they added cinnamon.I never expected how deliciously it would complement the drink. The pina colada in Havana is always served as a virgin Pina Colada and who likes can add rum on an individual basis.
